Dr. Beshai

My name is Alfred J. Beshai and I am Anesthesiologist specializing in Pain Management with American Board of Anesthesiology - two Board Certifications in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. In 2011, I graduated from the Pain Management Fellowship Program at the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation in OH.

I always believed in the mission of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and the huge difference it can make in patients’ lives. Being passionate about what I am doing made me realize that academic achievement, education, and practicing evidence-based medicine are the backbone of any successful medical service that makes a difference. This concept guided me in seeking residency and fellowship training only in leading programs in the field within the US.

Teaching medical students, residents and fellows is a big part of my academic career mission. I have sought out a leadership and management experience in education. Throughout the past ten years, I have trained and advised multiple medical students, residents and fellows, appreciated my role both as mentor and teacher. Right before starting Mission Advanced Pain Management, I served for two and half years as the Section Chief/Medical Director of the Chronic Pain Management center at the Carilion Clinic Health System in Southwest VA. Assistant professor VTC-SOM and Faculty member of the Palliative care Fellowship Program at Carilion Clinic. And before that, Director of Medical Education at the Louis Stokes VAMC in Cleveland, OH, where I was honored to serve and help our veterans suffering from pain. And finally, I decided to settle down in Southern California, Los Angeles & Orange County areas, to live close to my family.

The mission of the practice i is to provide a much needed world class quality services, from simple conditions to more challenging and complicated ones. Mission Advanced Pain Management and Spine Center is committed to provide quality, effective and efficient pain management care to help patients through their sufferings and pain.

Cancer patients and Senior Citizens are one of the big focuses of the practice, on a professional level and on a personal level. I was honored and blessed to deal with my beloved father’s journey while suffering from Cancer. I know all to well that elderly and cancer patients needs more than medications prescribed or a procedure done to manage their sufferings and Pain, not to mention how urgently care needs to be delivered. I believe elderly and cancer patients are big part of my Call/Mission and commitment to the Noble cause of Pain Medicine.

Patients suffering from the disease of Pain needs more of a custom tailored care based on each individual medical, physical and emotional condition. The different experience and passion at Mission Advanced Pain Management & Spine Center is readily available to be provided to you or your loved ones without any delay.
